Permit Applications & Forms

Residential building permits take approximately three (3) weeks to process. Commercial building permits take up to six (6) weeks to process. Please plan accordingly. Please note: permit fees are doubled as a penalty if a project is started before applying and being issued necessary permits.

Print out the appropriate application form(s) for your project. Complete and return the completed form(s) for processing. You can hand-deliver the application to the township building or scan and email application to: secretary@eastpikeland.org.

Construction hours are 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. No construction is permitted on Sundays or legal holidays.

Important Notice

The State of Pennsylvania has adopted the 2018 ICC Code effective February 14, 2022. All applications received after February 14, 2022 are governed by the 2018 ICC Codes unless documentation is provided in the form of a signed contract dated prior to February 14, 2022. If documentation is provided the application will be reviewed under the previously adopted 2015 ICC Code. Any application submitted after August 14, 2022 will automatically be reviewed under the 2018 ICC Code.  Typical uses that require a Zoning Permit:

  • Change of commercial use/new tenant
  • Patio/Deck 30" or lower from the ground
  • Shed (under 500 square feet)
  • Transient retail
  • Seasonal (temporary) pool
  • Widen existing driveway
  • Gazebo (pre-manufactured)
  • Pergola

Most other projects will require a building permit. If you have any questions about the type of permit(s) required for your project, please contact the Zoning Officer.

Installation of a total of 500 square feet or more of impervious surface or 2,000 square feet or more of earth disturbance since April 2, 2014, will require a grading permit, a minor stormwater management plan, and installation of stormwater control measures. Over 1,500 square feet of new impervious surface or 5,000 square feet of earth disturbance requires engineered stormwater controls.
